SMU Ember provides opportunities for our students to serve the community and build relationships through our 2 main CSP Projects, Project Filos and Project TYA. Students get to interact and befriend the elderly in Project Filos through weekly phone calls, and bond with children via academic coaching and value-driven activities in Project TYA.

Embers are what’s left behind after a fire has been burned out but they can be rekindled with enough sparks. Similarly, we aim to reach out to those who have fallen through the cracks and to rekindle their community spirit, developing students into passionate volunteers who will serve with their hearts and a purpose for those in need.
