Our Story

SMU Toastmasters is the official public speaking club of SMU. We understand that leadership stems first and foremost, from effective communication. We support each other's learning journey, be it in Leadership Communication, Persuasive Communication, or Presentation Mastery, so that we can build ourselves as better leaders. With a membership exceeding 358,000 across 143 countries, Toastmasters International, our parent organisation, has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident communicators, and leaders; gaining widespread recognition in companies worldwide.
